This section concerning ultralight aircraft is provided for completeness only
Foreign ultralight aircraft (e.g. microlights and other types of sport flying devices including sport parachutes) may operate within the airspace of the Czech Republic without prior authorization only under the following conditions:
- the type of ultralight complies with the relevant characteristics defined under Section 81(8) of Act No. 49/1997 Coll., as amended, or under Section 24 of Decree No. 108/1997 Coll., as amended;
- the ultralight aircraft holds a valid technical certificate (e.g. Certificate of Airworthiness, Permit to Fly, or an equivalent document) issued by the State of Registry;
- the ultralight aircraft has valid third-party liability insurance coverage;
- the pilot holds a valid license for the given type of ultralight aircraft, as required by the State of Registry;
- the pilot holds a valid medical certificate (if not included within the pilot license);
- ultralight aircraft will not be used for commercial operation flights;
- No test flights shall be performed with the ultralight aircraft as defined in Section 15 of Act No. 49/1997 Coll., as amended;
- flights shall be conducted in accordance with VFR/DAY, in compliance with the limitations or conditions specified in the technical certificate, and in accordance with all other applicable regulations governing this type of operation in the Czech Republic,

- all flights conducted within the airspace of the Czech Republic, including arrivals to and departures from its territory, must be carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations and procedures.
In the event that any of the above-mentioned conditions are not fulfilled, the applicant must submit a request for overflight, long-term operation, or test flights under the applicable procedures for aircraft with a special category of airworthiness, clearly specifying which specific requirement(s) are not met.
