When must a foreign national provide an employment permit with the application?

A foreign national must provide an employment permit with the application for a security clearance if an employment permit is required for their employment in the Czech Republic under Act No. 435/2004 Coll., on Employment.

An employment permit is required in cases specified by the Employment Act, including certain cases referred to in Section 97 of the Act. These include, for example, certain internships, occasional and time-limited work as part of school exchanges or youth programmes, certain cases of residence for the purpose of tolerating residence, or cases involving applicants for international protection.

If a foreign national is required to hold an employment permit, the permit must be submitted with the application for a security clearance. Whether a particular foreign national is required to obtain an employment permit depends on their specific residence and employment status and on the current wording of the Employment Act.
