The Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic received a report regarding the EFB application for calculating the APG iPreFlight performance. One of the operators in the Czech Republic identified a problem where the V1 speed is not reduced when calculating the performance for take-off on a wet runway and the speed for a dry runway is used. The problem occurred with the Embraer EMB 505 aircraft type. According to information from the operator, the problem may be related to the update of the performance parameters database from the aircraft manufacturer. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
If you use the APG iPreFlight application, we ask you to ensure additional testing of the application, especially under wet runway take-off conditions, in the shortest possible time.
If you detect deviations from the data specified in the AFM during testing, please contact your competent authority that granted you the EFB approval and inform your company’s Safety department and all affected company personnel.
