{"id":55706,"date":"2026-11-02T13:08:00","date_gmt":"2026-11-02T12:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caa.gov.cz\/?page_id=55706"},"modified":"2026-11-02T13:06:46","modified_gmt":"2026-11-02T12:06:46","slug":"basic-information-about-the-aircraft-register","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.caa.gov.cz\/en\/basic-information-about-the-aircraft-register-of-the-czech-republic\/basic-information-about-the-aircraft-register\/","title":{"rendered":"Basic information about the aircraft register"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Act No. 49\/1997 Coll., on Civil Aviation, as amended, defines the Aircraft Register of the Czech Republic (hereinafter also referred to as the \u201cAircraft Register\u201d) as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Aircraft Register is a register of civil aircraft (with the exception of sport flying equipment) operated by a natural person with permanent residence or by a legal entity with its registered office in the Czech Republic or, where applicable, in another Member State of the European Union (Sections 4 and 99a of Act No. 49\/1997 Coll.).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Definition of an aircraft: An aircraft means a device capable of deriving support in the atmosphere from the reactions of the air, other than reactions against the Earth\u2019s surface (Section 2(2) of Act No. 49\/1997 Coll.)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Aircraft Register is a publicly accessible register, and anyone is entitled to inspect it and request from the Authority a copy or an extract of the registered information, or confirmation that certain information is not registered in the Aircraft Register (Section 4(2) of Act No. 49\/1997 Coll.).<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Aircraft Register is available to the public <a href=\"https:\/\/lr.caa.gov.cz\/letecky-rejstrik\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only an aircraft that is not registered in the Aircraft Register of another state may be entered in the Aircraft Register (Section 4(3) of Act No. 49\/1997 Coll.).<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By entering an aircraft in the Aircraft Register, the aircraft acquires the nationality of the Czech Republic (Section 4(5) of Act No. 49\/1997 Coll.).<br>The Authority assigns a registration mark to the aircraft upon its entry in the Aircraft Register and issues a Certificate of Registration.
