{"id":26141,"date":"2021-02-04T08:42:26","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T07:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caa.cz\/?page_id=26141"},"modified":"2026-05-28T08:26:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T06:26:11","slug":"exemption-for-air-carriers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.caa.gov.cz\/en\/exemption-for-air-carriers\/","title":{"rendered":"Exemption for Air Carriers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Based on a risk assessment, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic may exempt individual cargo or mail flights from a third-country airport to the Czech Republic from the requirements of points 6.8.1 and 6.8.2 of the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015\/1998, provided flights meet the applicable legislative conditions (the so-called \u201cACC3 exemption\u201d). In order to assess the possibility of granting this exemption, the air carrier must submit an application to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:podatelna@caa.gov.cz\">podatelna@caa.gov.cz<\/a>&nbsp;(with a copy to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:sec@caa.gov.cz\">sec@caa.gov.cz<\/a>) that meets the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The application must be submitted at least 5 working days before the flight date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The exemption must be requested by the air carrier. If a handling\/cargo service provider is requesting it on behalf of the air carrier, the air carrier must provide a letter of authorisation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The application must include all of the following attachments:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a fully completed validation document, available below, in which the applicant describes measures to protect civil aviation against unlawful acts, with an emphasis on the cargo screening process at the point of departure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the air carrier\u2019s security programme relevant to ACC3, complete in terms of all points listed in Appendix 6-G of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015\/1998<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AWB documents for the flight in question, clearly showing that it is an ad-hoc flight operated for a single consignor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a landing permit issued by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic for the flight in question<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic grants an ACC3 exemption, it is granted for a specific flight on a specific day and cannot be transferred to another flight or day. ACC3 exemptions are usually granted for a maximum of two flights by one air carrier from one destination.
