{"id":16311,"date":"2019-07-18T00:23:10","date_gmt":"2019-07-17T22:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caa.cz\/?page_id=16311"},"modified":"2024-06-17T14:55:06","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T12:55:06","slug":"history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.caa.gov.cz\/en\/authority\/history\/","title":{"rendered":"History"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Key milestones in the history of civil aviation in the Czech Republic:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>1944 <\/strong>Czechoslovakia becomes a member of <strong>ICAO<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>1965 <\/strong>State Aviation Inspectorate is established<\/li><li><strong>1970 <\/strong>Czechoslovakia and USA sign a bilateral agreement<\/li><li><strong>1991 <\/strong>Czechoslovakia becomes a member of <strong>ECAC<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>1995 <\/strong>State Aviation Inspectorate and FAA conclude an agreement on operating procedures<\/li><li><strong>1996 <\/strong>Czech Republic becomes a candidate member in <strong>JAA<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>1996 <\/strong>Czech Republic becomes a member of <strong>EUROCONTROL<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>1997 <\/strong>CAA CZ is established under Section 3 of the Act No. 49\/1997 Coll. on Civil Aviation<\/li><li><strong>2000 <\/strong>Czech Republic becomes a full member of <strong>JAA<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>2004 <\/strong>Czech Republic becomes a member of <strong>EU<\/strong>,resulting in direct applicability of EU regulations and implementation of EU directives<\/li><li><strong>2005 <\/strong>CAA CZ and EASA conclude an agreement on mutual provision of services<\/li><li><strong>2018 <\/strong>Regulation (EU) 2018\/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2018 on common rules in the field of civil aviation and establishing a European Union Aviation Safety Agency entered into force<\/li><li><strong>2021 <\/strong>CAA CZ concluded Memorandum of Understanding with National Cyber and Information Security Agency to enhance further cooperation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Czech Republic respects and observes the standards and the principles recognized by ICAO, serving it as a benchmark to determine an acceptable level of safety in civil aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an EU member state, the Czech Republic ensures direct applicability of all the EU regulations in the area of civil aviation as well as proper implementation of EU directives. On 26 April 2005, CAA CZ and EASA agreed on mutual provision of services, allowing CAA CZ to join and integrate among other NAAs.
